More Thanksgiving

Spent a pleasant weekend with friends and family. Ate way too much. Didn't work nearly enough. Came back to the end-of-the-semester frenzy.

I'm thankful for meteorites, especially those I picked up today to show my classes.

I'm thankful for the well-being of my friends. I came back to school to hear that the boyfriend of one of my students was killed in an automobile accident this weekend. Hug your nearest and dearest.

Glad you had a good Thanksgiving! Ours was quiet and had lots of basement cleaning and leaf raking in it. Also pie.

Sorry you didn't like the pie, Carl!

Glad you liked your pie, Greg! I just don't like pumpkin or pecan pie very much. Gimme, oh, chocolate cream pie or dutch apple pie with ice cream. Or let's just go all out and get pumpkin cheesecake! Oohh...hungry!

Properly spiced pumpkin is one of a few perfect vehicles for whipped cream (hot chocolate being my current favorite).

But without the whipped cream, I'll just skip it altogether.

Hot chocolate is the best method of obtaining whipped cream. Definitely. I think my main problem with this pumpkin pie was that it was too cold. I'm going to try a pumpkin bread pudding next weekend. Warm and ready for whipped cream!
